ACNE TREATMENTS

The goals of treatment are to heal existing lesions, stop new lesions from forming, prevent scarring and minimize the psychological stress associated with this disease. Topical medications and/or oral prescriptions may be a suggested treatment, along with chemical peels and laser treatments.

MOLE/BENIGN LESION COSMETIC REMOVAL

Removal of unsightly moles and lesions that are not covered by insurance.

ROSACEA TREATMENTS

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Laser Genesis treatments are very effective and safe for relieving the redness and destroying the bacteria carrying proteins that cause this inflammatory response disease. The IPL or Laser Genesis is combined with topical products, sustained release antibiotics and occasionally retinoids. This treatment is a very effective means of bringing back normal color and tone to the skin.

SCLEROTHERAPY (CHEMICAL SCLEROSIS)

The practitioner injects a chemical substance into the affected veins. No longer allowing blood to fill the area, the veins form a hardened cord that breaks up naturally and is reabsorbed by the body.

SKIN BIOPSIES

We perform shaved biopsies, punch biopsies, excisional biopsies, electrocautery, electrodesiccation/curettage and cryotherapy of lesions.

SKIN CANCER SCREENINGS

Come in for a head-to-toe exam to check for any skin cancers. Our objective is to spot cancer before a person has symptoms. When abnormal tissue or cancer is found early, it is more easily treated.

SPIDER VEIN AND TELANGIECTASIA TREATMENTS

The Cool Glide Nd:YAG 1064 laser is used for the treatment of unsightly spider veins. This laser system delivers pulses of light energy that cause the blood within the vein to coagulate, eventually destroying the vessel which is later reabsorbed by the body.
